Privacy Policy

Effective August 12, 2026

Who we are

Longpath is an independent field companion for Parks on the Air (POTA), operated by an individual developer. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@longpathradio.com.

What the landing site collects

This public site serves static product, distribution, legal, and support information. It does not create accounts, accept payments, receive purchase state, or collect radio logs.

We do not run advertising trackers or sell visitor data. Basic hosting and security logs may be processed by Vercel to deliver and protect the site.

What the Longpath app collects

If you choose to create an account in the app, Longpath stores your email address, authentication record, callsign and display name, and the radio activity you choose to import. The app may also send privacy-scrubbed error reports that use an internal account identifier rather than your email, callsign, or log contents.

Longpath does not collect advertising identifiers, buy data about you, or collect GPS or photo proof of radio activity.

How we use and share data

We use account and activity data only to run Longpath: authenticate you, store imports, compute progress, and sync your data. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

The service relies on Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; Resend for account email; Vercel for web hosting; Sentry for error monitoring; and Cloudflare for DNS, email routing, and encrypted backup storage. Each provider receives only what its function requires.

Private by default

Your activity is private to your account. When you deliberately join a shared activation, its members can see your callsign and the progress summary associated with your participation, but never your raw log. A park photo you deliberately publish is public.

Retention, export, and deletion

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can export your data or delete your account from Settings in the app. Account deletion removes your profile, imports, files, published photos, activity, account-linked trial record, and derived progress; encrypted backups age out within 30 days.

A store-owned native purchase belongs to your Apple or Google account and is not erased by deleting a Longpath account. A limited hashed transaction reference may be retained for purchase verification and abuse prevention. Sensitive store evidence and credentials are not client-readable product data.

Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data and to complain to a supervisory authority. Longpath honors access, export, correction, and deletion requests from everyone. Email privacy@longpathradio.com for help with a privacy request.

Longpath is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data. Material policy changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
